How to create a listing

This article is for creative sellers to help guide you through the process of creating a listing to sell a freelance product, like designing a team logo, or for selling a digital product, like an athlete planner they can download.

The listing creation form has several sections. Each section asks the provider to fill information about the listing they are creating. Each section must be completed before moving to the next and all sections must be completed before publishing a listing.

The first section asks providers for basic details. This information will be used to populate the listing page customers see during discovery and can serve as attributes for searching, filtering, and sorting.

First, select your Listing type as either a Freelance Project or a Digital Product.

Fill in these details as you wish. Keep in mind buyers will search using this information, so provide clear and concise information.

Choose from the standardized list of categories for each listing type.

Each category has subcategories and tags (multi-select) you can choose from to provide additional detail about your listing. Both are searchable fields by the buyer.

After categorizing your listing, you will need to enter all key details including listing title and listing description.

Listing title is very important because it is the first thing buyers see when reviewing listings. Please be sure to clearly convey what your listing is so buyers will be interested enough to review the listing description.

Examples:

  • I’ll design a a new calendar for your team
  • Custom designed team logo
  • I will design stunning logo for your gym or sports brand
  • I will create a premium sports website using Wordpress

Always a good idea to make sure your title stands out, so be creative and have some fun!

Listing description is where you can provide a more detail about your listing, experience, features, benefits, etc. and ultimately, why the buyer should choose your freelance or digital product.

For each listing, creative sellers can offer up to three tiered packages including RookiePro, and All-star. This gives the seller the flexibility to offer buyers more customized pricing and packaging options to meet their needs.

Each seller defines what's included in their packages, but here's helpful definitions for each tier:
  1. Rookie is a basic package (most affordable with longer delivery period, fewer concepts and revisions, etc.)
  2. Pro is a mid-level package (moderately expensive with shorter delivery period, more concepts and revisions, etc.)
  3. All-star is an advanced package (most expensive with the shortest delivery period, more concepts, revisions, etc.)
Select each package level you want to offer and fill out the description, delivery period, concepts, revisions and file types.

The listing description should provide buyers with an overview of the type of listing, experience, and other related information that helps to sell the listing. Package description provides an added layer of detail about what the buyer actually gets with each listed package. If offering multiple tiers, in most cases, the package descriptions will probably be similar with only minor variations in features and deliverables.

Sellers have the ability to customize the format of the package description. The goal is to offer enough detail that clearly defines the package offer and differentiates each tier. It should be easy for buyers to quickly review and compare tiered packages to find the best option that meets their project needs, budget, and delivery timeline.

In addition to entering the main listing and package information, you will be able to enter additional details, requirements, and pricing details for each tiered package.

Lastly, add one or more images or files that show buyers examples of your freelance work or previous projects and publish the listing. Make sure to upload great examples that are eye-catching and showcase your abilities.

As a reminder, be sure to only add images or files that you own and please make sure not to infringe on any copyright or NIL rights.

Once published, the listing will provide buyers all available tiered options to choose from and compare. Buyers can easily choose their package and begin their project or download their digital project.
